Two different camps are offered for middle school youth. Chi Rho Camp is for outgoing sixth and seventh graders, and is held for five days on the Creative Side of Disciples’ Crossing in Athens, Texas. These camps usually focus on transformation and growth, since that is a huge part of middle school. For outgoing eighth graders, Eighters (or, more appropriately, Created to Be Me Camp) is offered at the end of the summer. Eighters is sex education camp—youth are taught about male and female reproductive capabilities, God’s plan for sexuality, and informed about contraception, consequences and contamination.
